Once you have printed out as many mini fliers as you have balloons. Take these sheets and laminate them. Once they are laminated, hole punch them at the top right or left hand corner so that our balloon ribbon can go through the hole and then tie a small knot to hold the mini flier in place.
Once these fliers are assembled and then released into the air at your vigil, they will be floating for several miles until they fall to the ground. The theory is that once they fall to the ground that being laminated will keep them much longer than if they were just regular with no protection over the flier. You never know who may see this flier and be able to provide some information to the police.
*** REMEMBER*** when setting up your mini fliers to put the victim's photo, telephone #'s to call if someone should it and have information and if you have a website available, list it as well. Click HERE for a downloadable template if you need help making these mini fliers
If you are using balloons on a hot or humid day. It may be a good idea to find several vehichles that you can store the balloons in with the air conditioning running in the car until the service beings. Heat has a tendency to cause balloons to burst.
