Vigils and Events
Angel Garden Of Hope
Has Attended
Since my family and I formally named our group, we began attending various events to help others and to learn more about what we have now claimed as what we really should be doing. Below are some photos from various events that I've gone to in the last year since we formally named our group. I'm very proud of these things and our new contacts with the media and other organizations that help missing and murdered people. These things are posted because are very proud to be a part of any event for these cases.
Feb. 28, 2005 - Gainesville Times Article
In Feb. the Gainesville Times did an article on our organization. This was the first large article and recognition I received since I formed the group. Please click my photo to go directly to the article that appeared on the front page on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2005.
April 12 - 14, 2005 - Wilmington North Carolina
Conference for the Missing Presented by the Cue Center
The Cue Center for Missing People presented a conference for missing people, their families and those who assist law enforcement in the search and recovery. Our group was invited to come. I met several of the moms that I have communicated with over the internet and via telephone across the US. The phote on the right was a display table of various missing people and their info packets. The second photo is of me and Dr. Maurice Godwin, who has written various books and is a professor. He specializes in criminal profiling and has assisted with several missing person cases. Please click HERE to view more photos from that day.
The buttons I'm wearing are two of missing person cases I've created their websites and worked with the families-
Patrice Endres and Heather Teague.
Kristin Smart Rally for Justice
May 15, 2005
San Luis Obispo, CA
In May of 2005, my mom and I went to San Luis Obispo, CA to join Kristin Smart's family and the man who works her case, Dennis Mahon for a rally for justice. The march included people who showed up with shovels who wanted the community to push for the prime suspect's property to be dug up by police where a dog indicated a presence of human remains 9 years ago! Kristin's case is so similar to the case that got me started that we all became very good friends. Please click HERE for more photos. Also visit her website for more info.
Some people thought we were nuts for traveling across the US for this event but it was very important to me. It was one of the best trips I've ever made.
